A native of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Mike and his wife Carol moved to Greene County nearly a decade ago. Mike received a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University and a Master’s degree in Industrial Management from Carnegie Mellon University.
Mike spent 40 years working in senior financial management positions, such as Global Controller and Chief Financial Officer, with Ford Motor Company, Dow Chemical, and Federal-Mogul. He has also served in various capacities on boards of $2 billion companies. He was a founding board member of the Oconee Performing Arts Society (OPAS), served as the financial advisor for the Property Owners Advisory Group, a member of the St. May’s Foundation Board that raised $8 million for the creation of the new hospital on Lake Oconee, and a member of the most recent ESPLOST Referendum Committee for the school system. Currently, he is the Chair of the Audit Committee for Forward Air, Inc.
Mike and his wife Carol have two children and five grandchildren who live in Atlanta and Austin, Texas. The couple enjoys playing tennis, golf, bridge, and spending time with their grandchildren.
